Ventura Improv Company welcomes our friends from Los Angeles – Jenn, Sara and Max of Now Town! Performers from the VIC will be joining them on stage in the first half. In the second half, Now Town will perform a long-form comedy improv set. Don’t miss it!

Now Town denizens Jenn Chou and Sara Neff are joined by new kid on the block Max Sosna-Spear, who recently moved to Now Town from Stanford University, where amazing improvisors are born and bred. Catch our debut with this cast in Ventura, where they’ll be joined with Ventura Improv Company members for the first half of the show, and then perform a full-length improvised play in the second. Welcome to Now Town!

Recommended for ages 12 and above. The performance lasts approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes.

About the Instructor: Taylor Kasch was the founding Artistic Director of The San Francisco Actors Theater, as well as the Flying H Group based in Ojai, CA. An award-winning director and actor, Taylor staged the West Coast premier of Kathyrn Anne Jone’s Calamity Jane; the world premier of Beggars the Musical, co-written with Richard Dewhurst and with music by Jimmy Calire; and the Southern California Premier of Ray Harder’s Song of Survival, among many others. In addition to directing, acting and writing, Taylor is a noted acting teacher and was on-set coach for the BBC series Out There in Australia. His former students can be seen regularly on television and in films. Taylor was a student of Stella Adler and her protege Jean Shelton for many years.

Local photographer Sue Bell noticed that some of the children from Sandy Hook Elementary did not have professional portraits that captured their personality. Wishing she could go back in time and photograph them herself, she decided to take portraits of children in her community for free.

Please join Sue and her family and friends and have a portrait taken of your child. Sue will email you the digital files after she touches them up. She will also create a poster of our communities’ children that will feature the children photographed on this day. She will mail the poster to Newton, CT so we can show our support for the families who lost their angels.
